IMPACTING & SERVING THE COMMUNITY ONE PERSON AT A TIME!
When God entrusted Equip Church with the mission to feed His people, we initially didn’t realize this calling would encompass both natural and spiritual nourishment. Nevertheless, we embraced His directive wholeheartedly.
In November 2025, we applied to partner with the Akron Canton Foodbank and were approved within just 24 hours. A week later, we placed our first order to stock our pantry, and within two weeks, we hosted our inaugural open pantry event for the community. During November and December 2025, we provided food from the pantry to 665 individuals/families; as well as provided hot meals to 320 people. Our food pantry is open to the public every third Thursday of the month.
Hygiene & Hotdogs 2025 2nd Annual Event
Alongside our food pantry, we distribute more than 300 hygiene bags each year to individuals experiencing homelessness and others in need. These hygiene bags contain essential items that members of our community may require, including:
We also serve hot dogs, chips, water, and pop, and in 2025 we added snow cones to our menu. For those who were unable to stop by the church, we took the hygiene bags and hot dogs into the community to ensure all we could find had a meal and toiletries. Prayer was also available during the event.

- Conditioner
- Lotion
- Soap
- Deodorant
- Tooth paste & tooth brushes
- 1 cloth washrag as well as 3 disposable washcloths
- 1 pair of socks
- And for ladies sanitary napkins and tampons
We also serve hot dogs, chips, water, and pop, and in 2025 we added snow cones to our menu. For those who were unable to stop by the church, we took the hygiene bags and hot dogs into the community to ensure all we could find had a meal and toiletries. Prayer was also available during the event.
