What We Believe

Romans 12:10 reminds us to use our gifts to serve others and to be faithful stewards of God’s grace. We believe that every person was created in God’s image and has a purpose. We understand that the harvest (work) is plentiful and there are few to do it, but if we come together on one mind and one accord, there should be no lack in God’s house. Mathew 9:35-38.

Equip's Core Beliefs

We are a praying church! We believe that without prayer there will always be a deficiency in growing and maturing as a believer.
We believe that with Christ all things are possible and that we are all an EX something; but through Christ, we have been redeemed. He took our EX, ex-convict, drug dealer, homosexual, liar, adulterer, manipulator, thief, deceiver, or whatever we were and turned it into someone Extraordinary. A new creation for the advancement of the Kingdom!

Trinity

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (Comforter). He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. Jesus is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Bible

We believe that the bible is the true and living word of God that we read, follow, and teach.

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is for EVERYONE who believes. And if you call upon the name of Jesus Christ, repent, confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that God has raised Him from the dead, you are saved. Romans 10:8-13

Water Baptism

We believe water baptism is an outward expression of your commitment to Christ. Matthew 3:11-17

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe baptism by water and the Holy Spirit are required to enter heaven. And after salvation, Jesus promised that we will receive (be baptized in) the Holy Spirit if we believe. Acts 2:38-39, John 3:5

5- Fold Ministry

We believe that God gave men and women; Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry and to edify the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:7-11

Judgement/satan

We believe that hell and satan are real and that there will be an eternal judgment of him, his angels, and all that follow his ways; and that the lake of fire shall be their eternal bed. Mathew 25:41, Revelation 19:20
